Boogey Lights

...The BoogeyBoard

Jess Holderbaum

Fireworks, Deluxe Remote & number of lights.

I recently purchased 5 Strips of Fireworks lights.
I only found out about the '78' light minimum after mounting most of the lights, and opening the documentation for the remote.
My question is: Are the fireworks lights going to work if I want to light all 90, as they seem to be smaller than the standard led strips?
I have held off attaching the 6-strip I have under my ultra's tour pack, and have yet to mount the 2 3-strips I was going to put in the front fender (90-(6-3-3)=78).
I would really prefur to have all 90 working. Is there a way to boost the power of the remote without frying it? I really wish someone from boogie lights would have told me of the limit before sending the lights, or better yet, have documentation on the site so I would have never made the error.

Can anyone help?

Are you guys still in Daytona? I was hoping for a prompt reply, but not even your tech guy you left behind has gotten back to me.

Jess,

You should be fine using 5 of our Fireworks strips with the controller. We have other dealers installing as many as 99 LEDs on the controller and experiencing no problems. We advise that you use no more than 4 strips as a precaution in that the controller will handle a max of 1 amp per channel. But to date we've had no problems with using 5 strips with the system.

Sorry for the delayed response, but we don't check this forum regularly when traveling.

Thats all I needed to hear! Thank you for the reply. I guessed it would be ok, as the LEDs "seem" smaller (less draw) than the cut 'n clicks, but I would have hated to have to pull strips off if I would blow controllers.

The lights look great, very easy install, I will definitely be a return customer, and have already recommeded boogie lights to other riding buddies.
